Goals / Objectives
Given the interactions of multiple stressors and pressures, an integrated assessment of cumulative and interactive impacts is required reflecting different biological, biogeochemical, and physical data and identifying the sensitivity of different ecosystem components. Furthermore, potential mitigation mechanisms will be investigated by initiating restoration experiments. Specific goals to be adressed by CCT2 are:
-
Identification of the scale and magnitude of integrated changes in biological communities and ecosystem function in relation to different disturbance effects
-
Development of tools for integrated (cumulative) environmental impact assessment
-
Test tools and concepts for recovery facilitation
